The objective of this position is to develop a portfolio of clients while maintaining a high level of conversion rate to turn inquiries into bookings.


Reports to: Sales Director


Sales Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotes and proposals for prospect clients

  • Call possible clients

  • Follow up with prospects

  • Answer phone calls

  • Respond to website’s chat

  • Check availability with central agents

  • Contact crews and central agents to find more information about yachts

  • Develop a portfolio of Clients


Operation Duties:

  • Prepare all documentation needed prior to the charters (Fishing Licences, Preference Sheets, among others)

  • Arrange payments from clients and remind of due dates

  • Coordinate the communication between the captain and the client

  • Make sure all client’s requests are satisfied

  • Ask for feedback after the charter is done

  • Arrange gifts after charter



The position doesn’t have a fixed weekly schedule. It is a sales position where you are expected to be available when your clients are. Working during the weekends is necessary, however, with good responsibility and time management the position offers flexibility. Moreover, at certain periods we receive streak of inquiries where more hours need to be worked, usually compensated with lower seasons where work is more calm.


Previous Experience and Ideal Candidate:


  • No previous experience in the yachting industry is required, although experience in sales is a must preferably from the travel sector

  • Extrovert personality, confident, easy going, not afraid to talk to strangers and ask questions

  • Self-motivated, with availability to respond to client requests before, during and after the characters in prompt manner

  • Comfortable with compensations tied to sales results

  • Responsible with excellent time management skills

  • Develop quality relationships with Central Agents and industry partners

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

  • Native English and Multi-Lingual are a plus

  • Availability to travel abroad for boat shows and meeting clients

  • Excellent networking skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Interest and experience in the travel industry

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills

  • Ability to resolve problems under pressure and work long hours

  • Ability to close transactions
